A new direction!
ListenUp is a rebooted version of the former Gamut Productions that was located in Latrobe. We recently finished an acoustically-controlled studio space in Ligonier, PA. The picture at left shows the basic space, with variable lighting and acoustic treatments. It is a comfortable, warm space complete with a small acoustic piano.

Warm, Comfortable Acoustic Space - We've created a creative space that is quiet and inspirational, as well as technically up-to-date. You can change the brightness and color of the lighting in the room to suit your mood. Up to 6 unique, custom headphone mixes are available and we offer a selection of headphones, or you can use your own. There is easy access from the outside for loading in instruments, etc.
PreSonus Technology - We use the PreSonus Studio One DAW with a PreSonus StudioLive III digital console and remote stage box to get the sounds from the studio room into the console and into the DAW. The board provides a tactile surface for Studio One and allows for real, moving fader automation during mixdown. Monitoring is through PreSonus Eris Pro 8 active coaxial studio monitors and the new Steven Slate VSX Headphone Room Emulation system.
Professional Microphones - We feel that a good sounding project requires capturing the best sound possible from the start. We use microphones from Neumann, Sennheiser, Shure, Blue, AKG, PreSonus and more to capture every nuance of the sound being recorded.
Experience Matters - We have recorded hundreds of bands during thousands of sessions under our previous name, Gamut Productions. We have also run sound for hundreds of live shows. We can help you to achieve your final goals while guiding you through the recording process, which can seem pretty intimidating. All you have to do is to concentrate on your performance. We operate all of the equipment for you.
Low Rates - We have low, hourly rates for recording and mixing time. You can save money by purchasing prepaid blocks of studio hours ahead of time, then using them over several sessions as you go through the process. Currently, studio time is $35/hour or as low as $30/hour in prepaid blocks of 10 hours. Package prices may be available too!
